Anusha E. Pillay is an Associate in the Klinedinst Los Angeles office. Ms. Pillay originally worked as a summer law clerk with the firm in 2008 while attending the University of Illinois College of Law, from which she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Pillay served as Moot Court Clerk of the Court, and was actively involved in the Student Bar Association executive board. She also coached the undergraduate University of Illinois Trial Team and, in 2007, attended the International Intellectual Property Law Programme at St. Peter's College, Oxford University. As a 2008-2009 member of the Federal Civil Rights Clinic, Ms. Pillay was provisionally admitted to the Central District of Illinois, before which she tried a federal jury case involving a Section 1983 claim for deliberate indifference. Also, during Ms. Pillay's third year, she served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Judiciary Panel in the appellate review of a controversial Student Election Commission decision. A compliment to her law degree, Ms. Pillay worked as a Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance underwriter in Chicago for three years. Professional and Community Affiliations
